Guide Funen and South of Jutland, Hans

Professional historian and teacher for many years. The history of Funen and social conditions of the island have always had my interest. I would like to guide walking, by bike or by bus.

I was born in the Northern region of Funen, close to the town of Bogense where I went to school. Afterwards I went to upper secondary school in Odense. I graduated from the university of Copenhagen and Odense with the subjects history and social science.

I taught at Sct. Knuds Gymnasium (upper secondary school) in Odense. As a teacher I took part in making plans for and carried through a lot of excursions and study tours for different parts of Denmark and for a good deal of European countries.

As a guide I will focus on landscape, business conditions, historical, political and cultural relations, including architecture, development of towns and neighbourhoods. I will not except the interesting personalities from the region or the funny and amusing story. It is my ambition to involve my listeners, and I will have in view to obtain a relaxed and humorous atmosphere during the whole sequence.
