Urban renewal Nørrebro
We meet by the cycling bridge by Rolighedsvej 23 for a 3 hours walk across the newly renovated park Nørrebroparken.
During the tour I focus on how to renovate a part of the city with social problems and a run down urban context. I will tell you about the political and economical strategy laid out by the municipality and the state.
Apart from the park we will see Superkilen by BIG, Mjølnerparken an "urban ghetto", the student housing "Nordbro". We end in "Sjakket" by BIG, which is a workshop initiative helping young people with social problems.
With your cooperation and experiences from your country we will discuss if urban renewal and beautification help in the struggle against poverty and social problems.
