Would you like a guided tour to an area of utmost importance in medieval Denmark?
A tour to the castle ruins of Vordingborg...
Take a trip with me to Vordingborg and visit the Vordingborg Castle Grounds where you can still see parts of the outer walls and ascend the remaining "Goose Tower". I give you the story of both Viking Age Vordingborg and the three Valdemarian kings of the Danish Middle Ages, who built the castles from where they ruled the area and the country. Perhaps you would like to see the splendid old church too?
If you wish, I would be happy to meet you and your coach in Copenhagen or elsewhere and be your guide on the way to Vordingborg. This give me an opportunity to tell you more about the things we are going to see. We can make a stop at the newly recovered Ring Fort Vikingeborgen at Køge, this being the fifth known to this day. Or, if you prefer, we can make a detour to the town of Næstved and take a stroll through its lovely old centre.
