Town Walk in Ribe

We will see the historic important places: the ruins of the previous royal palace, St. Catherines monestary, the cathedral, the Ribe Art museum, the bishop's house Tårnborg, the school of Ribe Katedralskole, the old townhall, the Ribe viking museum, the old harbour Skibbroen with its storm surge pillar.

On our way we will look at the buildings and I will tell you anecdotes about the famous persons from Ribe who have left big traces. Here among other things I think of queen Dagmar, bishop Brorson, the scientist Niels Finsen, the photographer Jacob A. Riis, the witch Maren Spliid and others.
