Guide in Skagen, Niels

As a former teacher, I tend to tell stories in a very anecdotal way, focusing more on points that help people understand, conveyed through "images" rather than on minor details that are simply forgotten on the way home, and I love a bit of back-and-forth when I'm telling a story.

Skagen offers a unique blend of "the forces of nature, art history and a cosy small-town atmosphere". I've been visiting for many years and have also been a guide in the area for years. So I know exactly what to tell and what to focus on. It might be about the unique landscape with its dunes and marram grass, about the town's houses painted in that distinctive ochre-yellow colour, about the town's artists' colony, about the sand-encased church, and not least about how the waves from two seas off Grenen meet head-on and crash against each other.
