Beskrivelse af mig
Guide in Copenhagen who's friends with the bicycle.
As an active woman I appreciate exploring new and old areas of Copenhagen on walking tours or on a bike. To make my stories interesting I connect old history with facts and stories from our modern, international and carbon neutral capital.
Copenhagen has changed rapidly over the last 25 years. To be able to guide about developments along the waterfront and the different areas in downtown it is a pleasure for me to ride my bike along the super bike path from Farum, where I live together with my husband Finn, to the center of the city. With the bike as my friend, I sense the urban planning in the new area North Haven compared to the more sterile area Amerikakaj, I sense the difference between the pallet-like Frederiksstaden compared to the more compressed Downtown and from there I continue to another area South Haven with all the charming canals.
I am fascinated by our country’s history and I am passionate about telling these stories to other people on a nice trip towards the old working-class area Vesterbro via Sdr. Boulevard, Kødbyen and the charming Enghave Plads. When I lived here the area Carlsberg was totally closed and surrounded by high walls. Today the beer factory has been moved out of town and the whole area is opened so that we can experience the fascinating history of Brewer Jacobsen. The Carlsberg Town with its nine modern towers, is an exciting walking tour just in itself.
