I am a retired journalist after almost 40 years in the profession. A bit more than half of my worklife was in Germany just south of the border. An area where history is very heavyly intertwined with southern Denmark.

Since school I've had a keen interest in history and geography. History is not just kings and noblemen, but also the contemporary development of society, trade and culture. This I try to communicate not just with facts, but also with a bit of humour. Especially in this part of Denmark nature has had a great impact on the rise or demise of the main towns, Ribe and Esbjerg.
