Møgeltønder - a lovely, charming village
Møgeltønder definitely merits a guided tour with its picturesque houses and cobbled street.
It also has a beautifully decorated old church and it has Slotsgaden, a picturesque alley connecting the church with Schackenborg Palace, the historical seat of the count Schack and formerly the home of HRH Prince Joachim.
During the tour I mostly focus of the history of the Schack family and the palace Schackenborg as we do not have access to the gardens and the palace.
We do have the best of opportunities to walk the lovely Slotsgade, the palace street of Møgeltønder. It leads us to the church in which HRH Prince Joachim and HRH Princess Marie got married. Just opposite the church you find the inn, and do you wish to enjoy a nice cup of coffee we allow time for that as well.
