Løgstør and the Canal Built by King Frederik the VII

Visit the mussel town Løgstør on the Limfjord for an interesting tour around the town with a visit at the Frederik the 7th canal, a sight and site the size of the bridge Storebæltsbroen

The tour will last approximately 2 hours by foot. We walk past Løgstør church to the main street in Løgstør and continue through the old Løgstør town. I will tell you about the development of Løgstør from fishing village to market town.

Where the old Løgstør ends, we reach Frederik the VII canal. Here we can see the 4 km long canal which was built in the middle of the 1800s and has allowed ships to pass around the flat waters at Løgstør for many years.

It will be possible to visit the Limfjord Museum which contains stories and knowledge about the fishing and sailing at Løgstør.

After a stay here we make our way back along the fiord to our starting point.
