The tour begins with a scenic drive through Esbjerg, offering a panoramic introduction to the city. Along the way, you will pass several notable landmarks, including the Old Courthouse, the former Jail, the Esbjerg Water Tower and the Performing Arts Centre, designed by the renowned Danish architect Jørn Utzon, best known for creating the Sydney Opera House.
A short photo stop is made at Esbjerg’s iconic landmark, the monumental sculpture “Man Meets the Sea” by Danish artist Svend Wiig Hansen.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Fisheries and Maritime Museum, featuring large aquariums and an outdoor seal enclosure. Guests may attend a seal feeding at 11:00 (subject to season).
The museum also offers exhibitions on fisheries, navigation, and offshore activities, as well as open-air displays including historic ships, workshops, a Second World War bunker, and a fully equipped lifesaving station.
