About me
Hi! I'm Kate, your friendly, straight-talking, storytelling tour guide based right here in beautiful Aarhus, Denmark. I've called this charming city home for the past 10+ years, and before that? A solid 6.5-year stint in Germany, so you could say Europe and I go way back.
Originally from the U.S., I studied European Studies (think EU politics, law, and economics), but don't worry - I promise not to turn this into a lecture. These days, I run my own business helping internationals with their job search in Denmark, but in the summer, I trade career consulting for cobblestones and give fun, informative, and slightly quirky tours of Aarhus and in the area -because honestly, this city is too good not to share.
Like every good Aarhus resident, I eventually gave in to the two-wheeled lifestyle - and now I'm hooked. Biking has become my new passion, and honestly? There's no better way to get around or fall in love with this city. If you're curious about life on a bike in Denmark or want a few scenic cycling tips -I'm your gal. (Spoiler: It's basically a national sport here, and yes, rain is part of the package.)
Why Tour With Me?
I've been giving tours since 2022, and after a decade here, I know Aarhus like the back of my hand (even the secret spots locals keep to themselves).
I'm a native English speaker, fluent in storytelling, dry humor, and making history fun.
I'm a history nerd and an architecture fangirl - expect great stories, quirky facts, and zero boring lectures.
I've been to all the museums, read the books, asked the awkward questions - so you don't have to.
I give you the expat's perspective on Danish life: the joys, the quirks, and the why-is-this-bread-so-expensive moments.
- Foodie alert! Whether it’s a Michelin-star experience or a street food hidden gem, I know the spots - and I love sharing them.
What Kind of Tour Do You Want?
A history deep-dive into Aarhus through the ages?
A walk through the city's architectural wonders, from Viking ruins to cutting-edge design?
A fun stroll packed with random trivia and weird facts that make you say, "Wait, seriously?" (Yes. Seriously.)
- A bike tour that takes you beyond the city center to explore hidden gems, scenic views, and what it really feels like to live like a Dane on two wheels? (Helmet required, fun guaranteed.)
Or maybe you're curious about expat life in Denmark and want the inside scoop before making the move.
Whatever your curiosity, I tailor each tour to your interests. Whether you're flying solo, traveling with friends, or considering Denmark as your next home - I've got your back (and your fun facts).
Real, Relaxed, and Memorable
My style? Direct, down-to-earth, and definitely not boring. I believe tours should feel like a fun conversation with a local friend - if your friend just happens to be obsessed with history, biking, and finding the best pastry in town.
You'll leave with great stories, cultural insight, food tips, and maybe a few life hacks for navigating Denmark like a pro.
