About me

I am a person who connected various cultures - guiding visitors from the Balkans through Denmark. I'm an engaged and empathetic communicator with many years of experience in community organizations, especially working with women from the Balkans and Eastern Europe, introducing them to Denmark through experiences, dialogue, and shared community.

I've been active in Danish civil society for more than 20 years since I first came to the country. Among other things, I have been involved in the association World Women in Denmark, where I've helped build bridges between Danish traditions and new citizens, especially women. I'm calm, attentive, and inclusive, thriving in the role of someone who creates both structure and atmosphere so that everyone feels welcome and safe.

I communicate with a smile and with deep respect for participants' backgrounds and experiences. My style is dialogue-based: I invite questions, reflection, and conversation so that participants not only gain knowledge but also see themselves in what they experience. I combine facts about history, culture, and society with small stories, examples, and sensory impressions - food, places, people - making the tours vivid and meaningful.

I have:

  • Many years of experience planning and conducting tours and activities for both small and large groups of women from the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
  • A strong focus on women's perspectives, migration, identity, and everyday life, creating spaces where participants feel safe to share and ask.
  • Strong language skills in Bosnian and other Eastern European languages, as well as fluent Danish, enabling me to bridge both linguistically and culturally.
  • A structured approach to programs, timing, transportation, breaks, and content, ensuring participants have a coherent and comfortable experience.
  • The ability to connect what is seen - a castle, a building, or a neighborhood - to broader themes such as democracy, rights, and everyday culture.

My knowledge of Denmark as a destination comes from years of living, networking, and community work in the country, using public spaces, museums, castles, churches, institutions, and city districts actively in my work with World Women in Denmark, the Red Cross, and others.

I have organized and guided tours for visiting women from the Balkans and Eastern Europe focusing on:

  • Danish culture and everyday life
  • Food experiences and visits to cafés and markets
  • Architecture and public spaces
  • Democracy, politics, and citizenship
  • Human rights and gender equality
  • Visits to castles and historical sites

I prepare thoroughly for each tour, updating myself on historical and current topics and adapting the content to suit each specific group.
