About me

I am an experienced history lecturer and former museum inspector, and I like to present Aarhus with a twinkle in my eye and a personal angle.

I know the city's historic sites well from the Viking Age to the present day, and my goal as a guide is to make the history as alive as possible and involve the guests in the tour around the city.

I am very interested in urban development and have participated in local groups and networks that work with the preservation of the urban environment. As a museum worker, I have worked with the collection of historical objects and building conservation.

I have also photographed the city's houses and streets for many years, and this has given me a good view of the city's development and a good knowledge of the many exciting places in the city.

Aarhus has a lot to offer and has a long and eventful history. I like to do guided tours about, among other things, Viking Age Aarhus, Church of Our Lady, the cathedral, the Latin Quarter, Aarhus University, Vestre Churchyard, Gellerup, Aarhus Harbour, Øgaderne - streets named after Danish islands, Trøjborg, occupation-era Aarhus and urban development in the city in general.
