About me

Having spend a liftetime immersed in the world of design and with a deep knowledge of danish cultural history at my fingertips, I offer guided tours with exceptional expertise and compelling stories.

I am an architect and designer. I have spent my professional life in the world of design, working with classic furniture and lighting. I have also taught for many years at the Danish Design School, and I have worked as a guide on numerous trips to Italy and the North Cape.

In Copenhagen, I have focused particularly on telling the story of the era of Danish design and architecture in the 1950s. I have written books about this subject, most recently The Designs of Arne Jacobsen, which was published by a major English publishing house in autumn 2025.

I know my cultural history inside out, so I would love to guide visitors through the three royal castles of North Zealand - Kronborg, Frederiksborg and Fredensborg.

I love putting Copenhagen into perspective as a city. In a European context, it is a relatively young city, founded in 1167, and particularly as a royal residence, dating from around 1420. This can be connected to the region’s turbulent and bloody history - Malmö and Lund: are they in Eastern Denmark or Southern Sweden?
