Fredensborg Palace Gardens - a short drive from Copenhagen

Hear the story of Copenhagen's absolutely fantastic location as guardian of the strategic entrance to the Baltic Sea, which makes Copenhagen completely unique.

Such a good location that Copenhagen was a threat to great powers such as the Hanseatic League, Holland, England and not least Sweden, who enviously watched the Danish king earn a fortune on the Øresund tax, his very personal pocket money, which he spent on a long series of fantastic buildings and castles.

Fredensborg Palace was built by Frederik the 5th in the Baroque and Rococo style and the castle park has been recreated in recent years according to the original model so that today we can experience the architect Jardin and the sculptor Wiedewelt's recreated neoclassical garden with the Nordmandsdalen, with works by his Nordic subjects.

I will tell you about the palace and the palace gardens and look forward to sharing the fantastic stories with you.

Of course, I will also tell you about what we experience and drive past on the way from Copenhagen to Fredensborg Palace.
