Copenhagen North West: Diversity and rawness

The north-west part of Copenhagen has a tarnished reputation for being like a neighborhood with ethnic tensions. But this district also offers the city's best urban life, the most interesting shops and workshops for the creative industries, because of relatively low rents.

The district contains both an architecture award-winning library, small creative start-up companies and a gourmet restaurant. Once upon a time, the Northwest was a rural neighborhood and a paradise for the working population to escape the gloomy district of Nørrebro. Here you could get light and air in the exemplary architectural design, general,
social residential construction.

On this city walk through the district of diversity, I show you how life is lived here, from the first houses were erected on the fields in the early 1900s, to the young vibrant and multi-ethnic Northwest we see today.
