Marstal, the town of generations
Would you like to visit a real sailors' town, then go to Marstal together with me, walk the town and see for yourself.
Originally a small hamlet, Marstal grew in the course of time to such importance because of its shipping capacities that around 1900 it boasted the second largest registered fleet in Denmark.
Together with me you will see and hear about the houses in Marstal with the most entertaining history, and we shall pass and perhaps visit the charming church in the middle of the town.
The walk in Marstal can be combined with trips in the area to see picturesque natural settings or some of the island's prehistoric sites.
