Walk the History of Assens
The city of Assens in Western Funen is a town with an interesting past. About 200 years ago it started to succeed on the back of the industrialization, where they enjoyed a lucrative placement close to Germany. However, the town is much older, and we first hear about it in the Danish Census Book of 1231 by King Valdemar.
