Experience beautiful Skagen and its surroundings

Discover beautiful Skagen, a town with a deep history and an artistic soul that has inspired artists, locals, and visitors across generations.

After a brief introduction to Skagen and its role as an artists' colony and popular travel destination, we'll head to the idyllic Østerby, known for its picturesque yellow houses with red roofs and historic fishermen's cottages that exude Skagen's authentic atmosphere.

Next, we'll experience the Vippefyr, one of Denmark's oldest lighthouses, where I'll share its fascinating history, function, and significance for maritime navigation.

Grenen, Denmark's northernmost point, is a truly unique spot. We'll take the Sandormen shuttle out to Grenen, where the Kattegat and Skagerrak seas meet. This is a one-of-a-kind nature experience, and here you can try standing with one foot in each sea!

Back in town, we'll stroll through Skagen's charming streets and stop at the painter Michael Anchers House, Skagen Harbour, and the Skagen Museum, where we can view works by the famous Skagen Painters who captured the town's magnificent light and life in their paintings.

We'll conclude our tour with a visit to the little town Old Skagen, also known as Højen, where you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Many gather here in the evenings to take in the stunning sunsets before we continue to Sankt Laurentii Church. The tour wraps up with our return to Skagen town.
