About me

Rome is a playground for adventurers. Explore it with a local Danish guide who brings history to life and uncovers the lesser-known stories and details.

Rome is a city you never truly finish exploring. Behind its famous monuments lie countless stories, details and anecdotes that often go unnoticed, even by those who have visited the city many times before.

I am passionate about bringing Rome’s history to life through engaging stories, surprising anecdotes and the traces that history has left behind in the city’s architecture, streets and landscape. I particularly love the lesser-known stories - the ones that offer a new perspective on a place you may have thought you already knew.

I have a degree in Art History, but work as a maritime archaeologist by day. I moved to Rome many years ago because I simply couldn’t resist it. But my sense of humour is still distinctly Danish and that is one of the things I enjoy most about being a guide: bringing a playful Danish touch to beautiful Italy.

I now have many years of experience as a guide and in bringing history to life. I guide everyone from small groups with very specific interests, to large groups of high school students and families with young children, for whom ice-cream breaks are particularly important. For me, it is important that history feels relevant to those listening, so I believe it should not simply be told, but experienced and discussed along the way.

Whether you would like to explore a particular neighbourhood, dive into the world of ancient Rome, discover the city’s churches and art, or venture slightly off the classic tourist route, I would be happy to help create a tour that suits you.
