Aarhus; from Vikings to the Top of the Rainbow
City walk to the Cathedral of Aarhus and the viking museum.
Walk down through the centuries and see the small Viking exhibition telling the story of Viking age Aarhus.
Walk into the medieval days in the impressive Cathedral of Aarhus; the longest and tallest church in Denmark, and one of the oldest redbrick buildings in Jutland. Its construction began in the year 1190.
Visit the fantastic Open-Air museum Den Gamle By - the Old Town - with the old houses, cobble stoned streets and people dressed up in old clothing in the high season.
Pass medieval houses and along the river at this city walk in the centre of Aarhus. Walk with me and get a vast impression of Aarhus, the capital of Jutland.
It is a moderate walking tour. We use public transportation one way.
From cruise ships which do not dock in the inner harbour, shuttle bus transport to the town centre is needed and ½ hour added to the tour.
Please note that the cathedral can be closed due to service, and there will be an entrance fee.
