Three Palaces in North Zealand

Guided bus tour, where we drive from Copenhagen on a lovely trip in North Zealand and visit three gems: Kronborg Castle (1574) by Frederik II, Fredensborg Castle (1720) and Frederiksborg Castle (1606) by Christian IV.
Kronborg and Frederiksborg castles and palaces are listed in the Dutch Renaissance style and both appear as King Christian the 4 left them, but the story goes further back. We will take a tour of Hamlets Kronborg and see the newly renovated fortress site and at Frederiksborg Castle, the National History Museum, which has also undergone an extensive restoration.

At Fredensborg Castle we take a short hike to the beautiful park which has not only been brought back to its original appearance but the landscape has also been worked on so that the park has become even more spectacular.

On the tour I will tell you about the Øresund Customs, which was introduced by Erik of Pomerania and which became such a success that over the next 400 years it was able to finance all the great splendor of Danish kings in North Zealand and Copenhagen.
