Are you ready to experience Copenhagen from a different perspective? Forget all about the typical tourist spots - this guided tour through the medieval city takes us backstage.

We begin in front of the statue of Hans Christian Andersen, at Rådhuspladsen, City Hall Square, and immediately dive into Hans Christian Andersen's Copenhagen with Skt. Pederstræde, where we visit the "Hvide bibliotek", experience old courtyard environments, and along the way, you will hear the fascinating story of the "Porno war" which took place back in 1970.

We experience the soul of the city and its contrasts as we walk through the old entertainment district, pass quirky cafés and interesting galleries. In the cathedral, we greet  the sculpturer Thorvaldsen's beautiful Christ statue, and we visit the old university library with the prison for unruly students.

We pass the Rundetårn, the Round Tower, which once housed the Royal Book and Map Collection, and where Hans Christian Andersen was a frequent guest.

We experience modern Copenhagen and visit, among other places, the rooftop cinema at the Danish Film Institute.

Back on the street, we encounter authentic gems, such as Copenhagen's oldest pub. On Strøget, we cross the car-free oasis Gråbrødre Torv, filled with cosy spots and cafés.

On the final leg, we pass the legendary "Cafe Gl. Torv - Huset med det grønne træ", where Lenin had lunch with Danish socialists, before completing the tour back at City Hall Square.
