Walk the Ramparts around Christianshavn

Walk the Ramparts of Christianshavn - part of the old fortifications of Copenhagen.

The rampart and the moats around Christianshavn are part of the extensive fortifications all around Copenhagen. Today they form a park area with many beautiful sights and access to the harbour. Seen from above it is like a green string of pearls.

We start our walk at Langebro and then follow the rampart all the way around the freetown Christiania - stop for a refreshment and peep look and then continue while enjoying the unique self constructed houses in Christiania. After a while we reach the Opera House from where we can take the harbour bus across to Nyhavn.

Walk on unneven surfaces, that can be muddy and slippery depending on the weather.
