About me

I love telling a good story and showing visitors what makes a town or region special. With me as your guide, you get an engaging storyteller who is curious about both the past and life in Denmark today.

I am a trained historian with over ten years of experience in museums and visitor attractions. My work has taken me to Odense, southern Jutland and Denmark’s west coast. Today, I research and write about history myself, and I enjoy sharing what I discover.

My speciality is twentieth-century history, but my interests cover the whole of Danish history, from the Stone Age to the present. I can also offer a broad introduction to contemporary Denmark: its society, everyday life, traditions and politics. Whether you are curious about how Denmark works today or how it became the country it is, I am happy to explore those questions with you.

On my tours, I focus on what gives each town or area its distinctive character: the architecture, its development, the surrounding countryside and the stories of the people who have lived and worked there. I also love exploring nature and finding those special places that deserve a visit.

I have extensive experience communicating with different audiences and adapt both the content and my storytelling to your group. If you have particular interests or requests, I am happy to build on them - and there is always room for questions along the way.
