About me
I'm a curious and energetic woman with roots in Copenhagen, and I love conveying stories, information and anecdotes about Copenhagen and the people who live here. I've grown up right outside the city, but from I was a teenager I've primarily been in Copenhagen, and lived and studied there.
I'm interested in Danish culture, Danish philosophy and the urban history and architecture of Copenhagen. I've been guiding Copenhagen for more than a year, where I both cover the "classical" Copenhagen, Hans Christian Andersen, Søren Kierkegaard, the central square, Tivoli, the Danish Parliament, Nyhavn, religion in Denmark, cultural values, the royal palace etcetera.
I attempt to relate with a lot of enthusiasm and humour, while at the same time attempting a deeper analysis and thoroughly relate about cultural conditions and historical movements and events.
I've studied an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and have furthermore read a lot about Danish philosophy, humour, culture and politics, Hans Christian Andersen and the different epochs and historical decisions.
In addition to having guided the more "classical" Copenhagen, I've also been guiding the more modern and alternative Copenhagen - Vesterbro, Istedgade which is the red light district, Kødbyen (the meat-packing district) and Christianshavn, where I touch upon the history of Vesterbro, social problems in relation to the urbanization, counter-culture and the cultural and artistic life in Copenhagen.
